I like this because I would want drivers to see me better, and I wouldn't want to be in the way of buses pulling over. Weirdly, drivers seem to stay closer to the right-hand bike lane instead of closer to the cars on the left-hand side, which they should be able to see better. I would hate to be doored by a passenger, so I'd want more room between the parked cars and the bike lane.

This would be a good idea. Too often buses pull into the bike lane when picking up and dropping off passengers. People getting off buses rarely look right to see if there is a bike (or anything else!) coming.

A pro would be that drivers of moving cars have a better idea of how much distance there is between you and his car.

A con would be that passengers might not expect bikes when opening their door (i'm sitting on top of the fence a bit on this one...)
