Family Fest Happening September 10th At Eakins Oval

The second annual Safe Routes Philly Family Fest is coming to Eakins Oval on Saturday, September 10th!

What is Family Fest? It is a free, family-oriented day of health, exercise, and wellness-oriented activities. It's a wonderful fair to attend with your family. Have fun, get exercise, and learn how you and your family can get healthy and active this upcoming school year.

Date: Saturday, September 10th
Time: 11:30 AM - 3:00 PM
Location: Eakins Oval across from the Philadelphia Museum of Art
Family Fest happens rain or shine

Top 5 reasons to join us at Safe Routes Philly’s Family Fest:
  1. Children can participate in a Bike Rodeo!  A Bike Rodeo is a fun bicycle course which teaches children skills and confidence on two wheels.
  2. Free fitness classes from local sports clubs and yoga studios.
  3. Nutrition education and healthy cooking demonstrations.
  4. Resources from local health and safety organizations.
  5. Treasure hunt!  The Brothers Cromie bring their hit family-friendly Fringe Festival treasure hunt AFOOT! to the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.  With only a map and your wits, you and your team of 4-6 people must unlock the clues that will guide you along the beautiful and historic museum mile.  If you can think on your feet, you just might win one of our many cool prizes!  Fun for all ages.
Visit our Safe Routes Philly website for more information. Family Fest is put on by the Bicycle Coalition and CHOP. Other participating organizations and companies include the Philadelphia Department of Public Health, the School District of Philadelphia, Jefferson Hospitals, Fairmount Bicycles, The Food Trust, Whole Foods, and more.
